The Panch Kedar Trek is very popular trekking in the holy state of Uttarakhand that nestle in the Garhwal Himalayas. They are the five important shrines of Lord Shiva, where Lord is worshipped in different forms. Kedarnath, which is situated at the head of the Mandakini River at an altitude of 3584Mtr, the Linga is a natural rock that resembles the hump of a bull. Madhmaheshwar, which is situated at the base of Chaukhamba Peak at an altitude of 3500Mtr, the Linga is worshipped here in the form of a navel. Tungnath, where the arm of Lord Shiva appeared is the highest temple in Garhwal Himalayas is situated at an altitude of 3689Mtr. Chandrashila is another destination, just 500Mtr above Tungnath, which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Rudranath, where the face of Lord Shiva is said to have appeared is situated at an altitude of 2286Mtr from the sea level and the “face” of Lord Shiva is worshipped in this natural rock temple. Kalpeshwar is situated in the beautiful valley of Urgam at an altitude of 2134Mtr and Lord Shiva is worshipped in his matted hair form in this cave temple.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight in the evening.

Delhi is the capital of India- the largest democratic and 2nd most populous country in the world and the city has seen its rise and fall several times. New Delhi is the 8th city built by British. Delhi is famous for its beautiful monuments built by different emperors, which can be seen during the city tour.

You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. 
After check- in formality, you will check in to the room.
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Delhi/ Haridwar- Train & Haridwar/ Rishikesh (25Kms & 1hrs drive)
After Tea/ Coffee at hotel, you will be transferred to New Delhi railway station to board train- Shatabdi Express (06h50/ 11h25) to Haridwar.

Breakfast will be served on board by Indian Railways.

Haridwar is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage destinations in India, picturesquely located by the bank of holy river Ganga in the holy state of Uttarakhand. River Ganga is also referred as 'Mother Ganga' by the Hindu community. It is an important point and gateway to the famous pilgrimage of the Himalayas call “Chardham Yatra or Chardham Pligrimage”. Char means “four” and Dham means “sacred places”. These four sacred destinations are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. People from across the globe come here to seek spirituality. The name 'Haridwar' means 'Gateway to God'. Haridwar is more popular for 'Kumbh Mela', the largest fair in human history, which is held here at the interval of every 12 years.

Arrive Haridwar and proceed to visit the famous Har Ki Pauri, which is one of the most sacred ghats in India. People say that this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. This ghat is also known as Brahmakund.

Later, drive towards Rishikesh. 

Rishikesh is another important Hindu pilgrimage destination in India, picturesquely located by the bank of holy river Ganga in the holy state of Uttarakhand. It is an important point and gateway to the famous pilgrimage of the Himalayas call “Chardham Pligrimage”. Char means “four” and Dham means “sacred places”. These four sacred destinations are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Rishikesh is famous for its spiritual centers and Yogic ashrams and therefore it is called “Yoga capital” of India. International Yoga festival is celebrated here in November every year, where world’s renowned Yoga teachers participate and give the Yoga teaching.

Arrive Rishikesh and proceed to city tour of Rishikesh, visiting Lakshman Jhula, Bharat Mandir, Triveni Ghat, Rishikund, Geeta Bhawan, Swarg Ashram and Trayambakeshwar Temple etc. 

In the evening, witness the evening arti of holy Ganges at Parmarth Niketan, where the students of Parmarth Niketan perform Pooja with great devotion & enthusiasm.

Day 03: Rishikesh/ Pipalkoti @ 1219Mtr (215Kms & 7- 8hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Pipalkoti via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karanprayag, Nandprayag.

Arrive Pipalkoti and check in to your hotel. 
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Pipalkoti/ Helang (15Kms & 30minutes drive) & Helang/ Urgam @ 2134Mtr (9Kms Trek & 3-4hrs Time)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Helang.

Arrive Helang and start your trek up to Urgam Village through the dense forests and beautiful waterfalls along with Kalp Ganga.

Urgam Valley is famous for its apple orchard, terraced fields and potatoes.
Rest of the evening at leisure to explore the fascinating Urgam Valley. 
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 05: Urgam/ Kalpeshwar @ 2160Mtr/ Urgam (2Kms Trek & 3hrs Time)
After early breakfast at hotel, start your trek towards the first Kedar i.e. Kalpeshwar (one of Panch Kedar). 

The locks (hair) of Lord Shiva are worshiped in this temple. You can have a fascinating view of valley with terraced fields and lush green forests.
Later trek down to Urgam.

Day 06: Urgam/ Kalgot @ 2215Mtr (12Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time)
After an early breakfast in the camp, start your trek up to Kalgot Village through dense forest and lush green meadows, which is a long day.

Arrive Kalgot village in the evening and meet the local people and know about their culture etc. 
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 07: Kalgot/ Rudranath @ 2286Mtr (12Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time) 
After an early breakfast in the camp, start your trek up to the temple of Sri Rudranath, second Kedar, where the face of the Lord Shiva is worshiped. From here you can see a splendid view of Hathi Parvat, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Trishuli and other group of peaks. You can also visit the Suryakund, Chandrakund, Tarakund which is located nearby the temple. 
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 08: Rudranath/ Sagar (18Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time) & Sagar/ Mandal (8Kms & 30minutes drive)
After breakfast in the camp, start your trek down to Sagar Village through the dense forest and meadows.

Arrive Sagar village and drive towards Mandal, which is also known Cherapunji of Garhwal Himalaya. 
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 09: Mandal/ Chopta @ 2900Mtr (19Kms & 2hrs drive) & Chopta/ Tunganath @3680Mtr (4Kms Trek & 2-3hrs Time)
After breakfast in the tent, drive towards Chopta, which is situated at an altitude of 2900Mtr from the sea level. The place offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks and the surrounding areas.

Arrive Chopta and start your trek towards Tungnath (the third Kedar). It is a uphill trek. Tungnath temple is situated at an altitude of 3680Mts from the sea level and highest temple in Garhwal Himalaya. In this temple the arm of the Lord Shiva is worshiped. You will see the lush green meadows and the entire range of snow clapped Himalayan peaks.

Arrive Tungnath and visit the temple.

After having some relax, you can also trek uphill to Chandrashila peak, which is just 500Mtr above Tunganath & 1Kms trek, from where the panoramic view of the Himalayas is overwhelming.
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 10: Tunganath/ Chopta (4Kms Trek & 2-3hrs Time) & Chopta/ Jagasu (45Kms & 2hrs drive) & Jagasu/ Gaundhar (13Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time)
After early breakfast in the tents, you can start your trek back to Chopta, from where you can drive towards Jagasu.

Arrive Jagasu and start another your trek up to Gaundhar. The confluence of Madmaheshwar Ganga and Makandya Ganga is the last place that is worth a visit before reaching Gaundhar.

Day 11: Gaundhar/ Madmaheshwar @ 3289Mtr (18Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time)
After an early breakfast in the tent, start your trek up to Madhya Maheshwar (the forth Kedar). It is believed that the navel (mid part of the body) reappeared at this shrine after disappearing at Kedarnath. You see the magnificent view of Chaukhamba, Kedarnath and the Neelkanth peaks from here. 
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 12: Madmaheshwar/ Gaundhar (18Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time) 
After an early breakfast in the tent, start your trek back to Gaundhar.
Rest of the day at leisure to visit around Gaundhar.
Dinner & Overnight in Tent.

Day 13: Gaundhar/ Jagasu (13Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time) & Jagasu/ Guptakashi (30Kms & 2hrs drive)
After an early breakfast in the tent, start your trek back to Jagasu.

Arrive Jagasu and drive towards Guptkashi.

Arrive Guptakashi and check in to your hotel. 
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
 

Day 14: Guptakashi/ Gaurikund (37Kms & 2hrs drive) & Gaurikund/ Kedarnath @ 3584Mts (14Kms Trek & 5- 6hrs Time)
After an early breakfast at hotel, drive towards Gaurikund.

Arrive Gaurikund and start your trek up to Sri Kedarnath, the fifth Kedar and one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Arrive Kedarnath and check in to your hotel. 
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.


Day 15: Kedarnath/ Gaurikund (14Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time) & Gaurikund/ Rudraprayag (75Kms & 3hrs drive)
This early morning, visit the temple and perform arti.

Return to hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast at hotel, trek down to Gaurikund.

Arrive Gaurikund and drive towards Rudraprayag through river Mandakini.

Arrive Rudraprayag and check into your hotel.

In the evening visit the confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini Rivers. 
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.


Day 16: Rudraprayag/ Haridwar (160Kms & 5hrs drive) & Haridwar/Delhi- Train 
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Haridwar.
On the way, visit Devprayag, the confluence of river Bhagirathi and river Alaknanda rivers. From here onwards the 2 rivers becomes holy Ganges.

Arrive Haridwar and transfer to railway station to board train- Shatabdi Express (18h13/ 22h45).
(Dinner will be served on board - By Indian Railways)
You will be well received on your arrival at Delhi railway station and transfer to hotel.

Arrive hotel and check in to your room. 
Overnight at Hotel.


Day 17: Delhi/ Fly Back Home
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board flight back home with sweet memories of your India Trekking Tour with Dependable Travel Solutions (India) !!
