The Holy River Ganges is the most sacred river in the Hindu religion and called “Mother Ganges”. It originates from Gaumukh on the Gangotri glacier, which is one of the holiest places for Hindu pilgrims, who come here to see the birth of Mother Ganga from cows mouth.
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight in the evening.
Delhi is the capital of India- the largest democratic and 2nd most populous country in the world and the city has seen its rise and fall several times. New Delhi is the 8th city built by British. Delhi is famous for its beautiful monuments built by different emperors, which can be seen during the city tour.
You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel.
After check- in formality, you will check in to the room.
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Delhi/ Haridwar- Train & Haridwar/ Rishikesh (25Kms & 1hrs drive)
After Tea/ Coffee at hotel, you will be transferred to New Delhi railway station to board train- Shatabdi Express (06h50/ 11h25) to Haridwar.
Breakfast will be served on board by Indian Railways.
Haridwar is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage destinations in India, picturesquely located by the bank of holy river Ganga in the holy state of Uttarakhand. River Ganga is also referred as 'Mother Ganga' by the Hindu community. It is an important point and gateway to the famous pilgrimage of the Himalayas call “Chardham Yatra or Chardham Pligrimage”. Char means “four” and Dham means “sacred places”. These four sacred destinations are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. People from across the globe come here to seek spirituality. The name 'Haridwar' means 'Gateway to God'. Haridwar is more popular for 'Kumbh Mela', the largest fair in human history, which is held here at the interval of every 12 years.
Arrive Haridwar and proceed to visit the famous Har Ki Pauri, which is one of the most sacred ghats in India. People say that this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. This ghat is also known as Brahmakund.
Later, drive towards Rishikesh.
Rishikesh is another important Hindu pilgrimage destination in India, picturesquely located by the bank of holy river Ganga in the holy state of Uttarakhand. It is an important point and gateway to the famous pilgrimage of the Himalayas call “Chardham Pligrimage”. Char means “four” and Dham means “sacred places”. These four sacred destinations are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. Rishikesh is famous for its spiritual centers and Yogic ashrams and therefore it is called “Yoga capital” of India. International Yoga festival is celebrated here in November every year, where world’s renowned Yoga teachers participate and give the Yoga teaching.
Arrive Rishikesh and proceed to city tour of Rishikesh, visiting Lakshman Jhula, Bharat Mandir, Triveni Ghat, Rishikund, Geeta Bhawan, Swarg Ashram and Trayambakeshwar Temple etc.
In the evening, witness the evening arti of holy Ganges at Parmarth Niketan, where the students of Parmarth Niketan perform Pooja with great devotion & enthusiasm.

Day 03: Rishikesh/ Uttarkashi (145Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi is famous for The Nehru Institute of Mountaineering & ancient Shiva temple known as Vishvanath Temple.
Arrive Uttarkashi and check in to your hotel.
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Uttarkashi/ Gangotri @ 3048Mtr (95Kms & 4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Gangotri along the right bank of Bhagirathi. The Ganga finds her source near Gangotri at Gaumukh, about 18kms uphill in the Gangotri glacier. It is literally a Cow's mouth, from where the Ganges coming out in the glacier. Ganga is considered the “Mother Ganges” and the stream of life, is a faith by herself. According to Hindu belief this daughter of heaven came down to earth as a reward for King Bhagirath's penance of several centuries and Gangotri is the place where she descended into the earth. Here the river is worshipped as a deity. The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3140Mtr from the sea level. The temple to the river goddess Ganga in Gangotri was built by the Gurkha commander Amar Singh Thapa in the early 18th century and later rebuilt by the Maharaja of Jaipur. Witness Aarti at the shrine in the evening is both a spiritual & a mentally fascinating vision.

Day 05: Gangotri/ Bhojbasa @ 3792Mtr (14Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time)
After breakfast at hotel, visit the famous Gangotri temple.
Later start your trek towards Bhojbasa along Bhagirathi River.
Arrive Bhojbasa and check in to your camp.
Rest f the afternoon free to explore the area and to enjoy excellent sunset on Bhagirathi group of peaks.
Dinner & Overnight at Tent.
Day 06: Bhojbasa/ Gaumukh/ Tapovan @ 4463Mtr (10Kms Trek & 4-5hrs Time)
After breakfast in the camp, start a short trek of 4Kms to Gaumukh, the sources of the holy Ganga and then 6Kms hike towards Nandanvan over moraine. The journey is really scenic and fascinating. You can see praying pilgrims and half-naked saddhus meditating along the banks of the holy stream that pours out of the glacier. The trail finally approaches Tapovan and its gorgeous meadows. The view of various Himalayn peaks from here is really amazing and particularly Shivling is fabulous.
Dinner & Overnight at Tent.
Day 07: Tapovana/ Nandanvan @ 4337Mtr (6Kms Trek & 3-4hrs Time)
After breakfast in the camp, start your trek towards Nandanvan located at the confluence of the Chaturangi and the Gangotri glaciers. Chaturangi means the four coloured glacier. The massive meadows of Nandavan are situated at the base of the Bhagirathi. The area provides an excellent view of Bharal (blue sheep). You can enjoy the magnificent view the Shivling, Bhagirathi, Sudarshan, Thelu and Kedardome peaks.

Day 08: Nandanvan/ Bhojbasa (12Kms Trek & 4-5hrs Time)
After breakfast in the camp, start your trek back to Bhojbasa.
Arrive Bhojbasa and check in to your tent.

Day 09: Bhojbasa/ Gangotri (14Kms Trek & 5-6hrs Time) & Gantotri/ Uttarkashi (95Kms & 4hrs drive)
After breakfast in the camp, trek down to Gangotri.
Arrive Gangotri and drive towards Uttarkashi.
Arrive Uttarkashi and check in to your hotel.
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: Uttarkashi/ Haridwar (145Kms & 5-6hrs drive) & Haridwar/ Delhi- Train
After early breakfast at hotel, drive towards Haridwar.
Arrive Haridwar and transfer to railway station to board train- Shatabdi Express (18h13/ 22h45).
(Dinner will be served on board- by Indian Railways)
You will be well received on your arrival at Delhi railway station and transfer to hotel.
Arrive hotel and check in to your room.
Overnight in Delhi.
Day 11: Delhi/ Fly Back Home
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board flight back home with sweet memories of your Trekking Tour with Dependable Travel Solutions (India) !!
