Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight in the evening.
Delhi is the capital of India- the largest democratic and 2nd most populous country in the world and the city has seen its rise and fall several times. New Delhi is the 8th city built by British. Delhi is famous for its beautiful monuments built by different emperors, which can be seen during the city tour.
You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel.
After check- in formality, you will check in to the room.
Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi/ Leh- Fly
After Tea/ Coffee at hotel and you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board your flight to Leh.
Ladakh is a Land of Passes and the Roof of the World and Leh is the capital of Ladakh in the north most Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Beautiful monasteries, colorful market and enchanting view of the Himalayas make Leh an incredible destination. Leh is the gateway to Ladakh, from where your adventure in Ladakh begins. Explore a Gompa, camping around Ladakh, trekking through breathtaking routes, where the earth seems nearer to the sky and see rare mountain goats ascending the slopes and cranes flying overhead. This is a tour that will amaze you with its enchanting beauty and delight you with the hospitality of of the Ladakhi people.
You will be well received upon your arrival at Leh airport and transfer to your hotel.
Arrive hotel and check in to your room.
Rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize yourself.
In the evening, if you feel good, you can visit Leh market & Shanti stupa.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 03: Leh/ Uletokpo (80Kms & 3-4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Uletokpo.
On the way visit Phyang Gompa, which is located just 6Kms away from Leh, built by Tashi Namgyal in 16th century and belong to Red Cap Sect of Budhist. Further drive towards Likir Gompa, which is situated on the top above the village. On the way, visit Basgo Fort to visit an impressive Ladakhi citadel. Then drive ahead to reach Alchi- which is the most beautiful Gompa and the jewel of Ladakh and known for its 10th century wall paintings.
Continue drive towards Uleytokpo- which is a beautiful place set in the lap on nature and blessed with breathtaking natural beauty. You will love to breeze and the flowers and nature walk around the village and of course the picturesque snowcapped Himalayan mountains.
Arrive Uletokpo and check in to your hotel.
Overnight in Uletokpo.
Day 04: Uletokpo/ Leh (80Kms & 3-4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive back to Leh. On the way visit Rizong monastery- which has a nunnery and accommodates local nuns (lady monks) called “chomos”.
Continue drive towards Leh and visit Lamayuru Monastery- which was founded by Rinchen Zangpo in the 10th century. Lamayuru is the oldest monastery of Ladakh situated on the hill top above the village.
Arrive Leh and check into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure or visit the market for shopping etc.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 05: Leh/ Nubra Valley (140Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After your breakfast at hotel, drive towards Nubra valley over Khardung La Pass- the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380ft.
Nubra Valley is popularly known as “the valley of flowers”. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas.
Drive Khardung La pass, you enter into Shyok Valley and enjoy the beautiful scenery is all around. After crossing Khalsar Bridge at Shyok River, you enter to Nubra Valley & then drive along the Nubra River to reach Tegar.
Arrive Nubra and check into your tent.
In the afternoon, proceed to visit Diskit Monastery and other monastries.
Deskit is a headquarter of Nubra Valley, which is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery situated on a hilltop.
Overnight in Nubra.
Day 06: Nubra Valley/ Leh (140Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at the camp, drive towards Leh.
On the way, you can visit the Sand Dunes at Hunder, where you can see Double Humped, Hairy and Bactrian Camels. You can enjoy camel ride (on direct payment).
Continue drive towards Leh over Khardung La Pass.
Arrive Leh in the afternoon and check into your hotel.
Rest of the afternoon free at leisure or walk around local market.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 07: Leh/ Pangong Lake (160Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After an early breakfast at hotel, drive towards Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (5486mtrs or 17500ft), which is the third highest motorable pass in the world.
One of the most beautiful lakes in Ladakh, Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,000feet (4,267mtrs) above the sea level and bisected by the international border between India and China. This high altitude lake approximately 130Kms long and 6Kms wide. The lake can be visited in single day from Leh but one can stay overnight to see the sunset and sunrise, which is another experience of lifetime. The beautiful Lake was featured in the last scene of the Super Hit Bollywood Hindi movie “3 Idiots” in the year 2010. After the success of the movie, this beautiful lake has become an important destination in Ladakh for the tourists from all over the globe.
Arrive Pangong and check into your tent.
In the afternoon, enjoy the picturesque lake and its spectacular views of changing its colors..it is really amazing!!
Overnight in Pangong.
Day 08: Pangong Lake/ Leh (160Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at the camp, enjoy the magnificent view of sunrise and changing the color of Pangong Lake…it is really breathtaking.
Later, drive back to Leh.
On the way, you can visit Hemis monastery.
Arrive Leh in the afternoon and check into your hotel.
Rest of the afternoon free at leisure or walk around local market.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 09: Leh/ Chumathang/ Tsomoriri (240Kms & 7- 8hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Tsomoriri enroute stop at Chumathang, which is famous for medical hot springs.
Drive on the Leh-Manali highway till Upshi (Check-point), from where the road will take you along the banks of river Indus to Mahe, which is bridge & check-point. From the, drive past the village Sumdo Namshang La (4739mtr). From here, drive downhill to another small but beautiful lake called Tso Kiagar. After which the road turns into a sandy and dusty track towards Tso Moriri Lake (4541mtr) near small village of Korzok.
Arrive Korzok and check into the tent.
In the afternoon, visit the higher altitude lake on this tour at an elevation of 4595mtr (or 15075ft), which is higher than Pangong Lake.
The area around the lake is known as the Tsomoriri Wetland Conservation Reserve and is the breeding ground of the rare & migratory Black-necked Crane. You can explore around the lake and the and the village and enjoy the wonderful view of the lake and snow clad mountains behind it. from January to March, Tso Moriri remains mostly frozen due to extreme cold and start melting from April onwards.
Overnight in Tsomoriri.
Day 10: Tsomoriri/ Leh (240Kms & 7-8hrs drive)
After breakfast in the tent, drive back to Leh.
Arrive Leh in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.
Rest of the afternoon free at leisure or walk around local market.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 11: Leh/ Delhi- Fly & Delhi/ Fly Back Home
After early breakfast at hotel, you will transferred to airport to board your flight to Delhi.
You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel (near airport).
Arrive Hotel and check into your hotel, where a room will be booked for DAY USE.
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the morning at leisure.
