Ladakh Trekking Tour

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight in the evening.

Delhi is the capital of India- the largest democratic and 2nd most populous country in the world and the city has seen its rise and fall several times. New Delhi is the 8th city built by British. Delhi is famous for its beautiful monuments built by different emperors, which can be seen during the city tour.

You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. 
After check- in formality, you will check in to the room.
Overnight in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi/ Leh- Fly
After Tea/ Coffee at hotel and you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board your flight to Leh. 

Ladakh is a Land of Passes and the Roof of the World and Leh is the capital of Ladakh in the north most Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Beautiful monasteries, colorful market and enchanting view of the Himalayas make Leh an incredible destination. Leh is the gateway to Ladakh, from where your adventure in Ladakh begins. Explore a Gompa, camping around Ladakh, trekking through breathtaking routes, where the earth seems nearer to the sky and see rare mountain goats ascending the slopes and cranes flying overhead. This is a tour that will amaze you with its enchanting beauty and delight you with the hospitality of of the Ladakhi people.

You will be well received upon your arrival at Leh airport and transfer to your hotel.

Arrive hotel and check in to your room.
Rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize yourself. 
In the evening, if you feel good, you can visit Leh market & Shanti stupa. 
Overnight in Leh.

Day 03: Leh- visit around Monasteries
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for full day tour around Leh, visiting the beautiful monasteries including Shey- the ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey- an impressive complex rising on a hill above the village and Stok Palace- the present residence of the royal family. Also visit the Hall of Fame- The Hall of Fame- is a museum constructed and maintained by the Indian army in memory of the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Indo-Pak wars. Gurudwara Pathar Sahib- which is maintained by the Indian Army and all the vehicles passing through this way stop here and pay obeisance at the temple. Magnetic Hill- the hill located at an elevation of around 14,000ft above sea level. It is known for its wonderful magnetic properties. One can see the vehicles moving up at a speed of 20Kms/ hour with the engines off. Sangam- the confluence of Indus & Zanskar river.
Overnight in Leh.

Day 04: Leh/ Likir (50Kms & 2hrs drive) & Likir/ Yangthang (Trek & 5-6hrs Time)
After breakfast at hotel, drive towards Likir.

Arrive Likir and visit Likir Monastery situated on the top above the village.
Later, meet with trekking staff and start your trekking with an expert guide, cook and porter.
Trek through a barley field and village Sumdo and finally reach village Yangthang in the afternoon.
During the treks, the food will be prepared by an expert cook.
This is an easy & soft trek, which can be undertaken by all people in good health.
Arrive Yangthang and check in to your tents.
Overnight in Yangthang.

Day 05: Yangthang/ Hemis Shupachan (approx 5-6hrs trek)
After breakfast in the tent, start trekking towards Hemis Shupachan via Shemchan La.

It’s a smooth trek and take the small breaks on the way. You will love the natural beauty and the magnificent view of the Himalayan peaks.

Arrive Hemis Shupachan in the afternoon.
You can visit a family house and have some butter tea and Ladakhi Chang (the local beer). You can also visit a beautiful monastery outside the village.
Overnight in Hemis Shupachan.

Day 06: Hemis Shupachan/ Lamayuru (approx 5-6hrs trek) & Lamayuru/ Uletokpo (70Kms & 2hrs drive)
After breakfast in the tent, start trekking towards Lamayuru through the village of Ang. This valley has warm weather as compared to Indus valley and hence plenty of apricots, apples and nuts make it one of the richest valleys in Ladakh. Since people are rich here, they have beautiful houses.

Arrive Lamayuru and visit Lamayuru monastery, which was founded by Rinchen Zangpo in the 10th century. Lamayuru is the oldest monastery of Ladakh situated on the hill top above the village.

Later, drive towards Uletokpo- which is a beautiful place set in the lap on nature and blessed with breathtaking natural beauty. You will love to breeze and the flowers and nature walk around the village and of course the picturesque snowcapped Himalayan mountains.

Arrive Uletokpo and check in to your hotel.
Overnight in Uletokpo.

Day 07: Uletokpo/ Leh (80Kms & 3-4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive back to Leh. On the way visit Rizong monastery- which has a nunnery and accommodates local nuns (lady monks) called “chomos”.

Continue drive towards Leh, visit Alchi Gompa on the way, which is the most beautiful Gompa and The jewel of Ladakh and known for its 10th century wall paintings.

Drive continue and visit Basgo- an impressive Ladakhi citadel. Also visit Nimo village and enjoy the photo session at river Zanskar.

Also visit Phyang monastery built by Tashi Namgyal in 16th century and belong to Red Cap Sect of Budhist.

Arrive Leh and check into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure for shopping etc.
Overnight in Leh

Day 08: Leh/ Pangong Lake (160Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After an early breakfast at hotel, drive towards Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (5486mtrs or 17500ft), which is the third highest motorable pass in the world.

One of the most beautiful lakes in Ladakh, Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,000feet (4,267mtrs) above the sea level and bisected by the international border between India and China. This high altitude lake approximately 130Kms long and 6Kms wide. The lake can be visited in single day from Leh but one can stay overnight to see the sunset and sunrise, which is another experience of lifetime. The beautiful Lake was featured in the last scene of the Super Hit Bollywood Hindi movie “3 Idiots” in the year 2010. After the success of the movie, this beautiful lake has become an important destination in Ladakh for the tourists from all over the globe.

Arrive Pangong and check into your tent.

In the afternoon, enjoy the picturesque lake and its spectacular views of changing its colors..it is really amazing!!
Overnight in Pangong.

Day 09: Pangong Lake/ Leh (160Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at the camp, enjoy the magnificent view of sunrise and changing the color of Pangong Lake…it is really breathtaking.

Later, drive back to Leh.

Arrive Leh and check into your hotel.

Rest of the afternoon free at leisure or walk around local market.
Overnight in Leh.

Day 10: Leh/ Delhi- Fly & Delhi/ Fly Back Home
After early breakfast at hotel, you will transferred to airport to board your flight to Delhi.

You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel (near airport).
Arrive Hotel and check into your hotel, where a room will be booked for DAY USE.
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the morning at leisure.
