Day 01: Arrive Cochin
Arrive Cochin airport in the morning.

Welcome to Kerala!!

Kerala is a beautiful coastal state located on Southwest coast of India and known as The God’s Own Country. Famous for its lovely backwater, lagoons, lakes, canals and coconut palm trees, Kerala is one of the most sought tourist destinations in India. Cochin (Kochi) is a commercial capital of Kerala and one of the finest backwaters destination in Kerala.

You will be well received on your arrival at the Cochin airport and transfer to hotel.
Check in @ 12h00 (early check-in is subject to availability). 

In the afternoon, proceed for city tour of Cochin, visiting historic Jewish Synagogue (remains closed on Fridays & Saturdays), Portuguese built “The Mattanchery Palace” or Dutch Palace (remains closed on Fridays)- an amazing museum, the Church of St Francis- within which is the Tomb of Vasco da Gama and other attractions of Fort Cochin.

In the later afternoon, proceed for a Sunset boat cruise around Cochin harbour and visit Chinese fishing nets of Cochin, which are fixed land installations for an unusual form of fishing.

In the evening, proceed to witness the famous Kathakali Dance performance, which is about 400 years old dance drama of Kerala that narrates the events of India’s religious epic- The Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The main aspect of Kathakali is its elaborate make-up and unusual costumes.
Overnight in Cochin.

Day 02: Cochin/ Munnar (140Kms & 2hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Munnar.

Munnar is a beautiful Hill station of Kerala famous for its lovely landscape, natural beauty and tea gardens, which make it breathtakingly scenic. This marvelous hill station is situated at the confluence of three mountain rivers call Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala at an elevation of 8000Ft from the sea level.

Arrive Munnar and check into your hotel. 

In the afternoon, proceed to visit the Tea plantations.

The Tea estates here look like designed carpets around the beautiful hills and valleys and make the destination really amazing.
Overnight in Munnar.

Day 03: Munnar
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit around Munnar, visiting The Mattupeety Lake- 13Kms from Munnar, created by a small hydro electricity dam. The Top Station- a vintage point around Munnar that offers fantastic views of the lovely landscapes and the valley. Echo Point- on the way to Top station, got its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Kundala- is a picturesque town on the way to Top Station. The Golf Course- belongs to Tata Tea Ltd. is located at Top station. The Kundala artificial dam is another attraction. Attukal Waterfalls- located just 9Kms from Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls.

In the afternoon, proceed to visit Eravikulam National Park- which is famous for the endangered mountain goat of South India, the Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus hylocrious).

Return to hotel in the evening. 
Overnight in Munnar.

Day 04: Munnar/ Periyar (120Kms & 3hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Periyar.

Periyar is small town in Kerala famous for its Tiger Reserve and National Park, which was established in 1934 as the Nelliampatty Sanctuary. The Park was enlarged in 1950 and it is India's southernmost tiger reserve. The Periyar lake covers an area of about 10 sq. miles and most of the sanctuary is undulating. 

Arrive Periyar and check-into your hotel.
Rest of the afternoon at leisure. 

In the later afternoon, proceed for boat cruise on Periyar Lake to see the wild life. 
Boat cruise is the best option to see the wildlife in Periyar National Park. Periyar Lake presents an excellent boating experience to tourists. Though you can’t see many animals from the boat, but you can still spot the Elephants, Wild Boar and Sambar Deer etc.
Overnight in Periyar.

Day 05: Periyar/ Alleppey/ House Boat (140Kms & 4hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit the plantation. 

Periyar (Thekkady) is famous for its spice plantation. You can see the plantation of cardamom, rubber, vanilla and coffee etc and hear the melodious sound of the chirping birds and rippling stream and the fragrance of fresh air while exploring the spice plantations.

Later, drive to Alleppey. 

Alleppey (Alappuzha) is also called as "Venice of east" because of its huge network of lagoons, canals and lakes. This beautiful backwater town is a hub of Houseboat cruises in Kerala. Alleppey was one of the busiest trade centers in Kerala during British period, as it had an excellent port along Malabar Coast. Alleppey is still the center for prawn farming and Coir carpet industries.

Arrive Alleppey and climb aboard the traditional RICE BOAT (kettuvallam) converted into houseboats with bedrooms and attached toilets.

Originally these boats were used as ferries to carry rice etc. Cruise through the backwaters of Kerala. This fascinating "backwaters" in traditional houseboats takes you through narrow canals, past paddy fields and villages, allowing you to enjoy the silence of the backwaters and have a glimpse of the lifestyle of the people living along the canals. 

All Meals (Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast) will be served on board, prepared by the houseboat crew.
Overnight in Houseboat.

Day 06: House-Boat/ Alleppey/ Kovalam (145Kms & 3hrs drive)
Disembark at Alleppey and drive to Kovalam.

Kovalam is one of the best beach destinations of India, which means "a groove of coconut trees," just 16Kms from the state capital of Kerala- Thiruvananthapuram. Kovalam was an anglers paradise earlier and there are still some small villages around Kovalam belong to the fishing community. Today, Kovalam is an ideal destination for a sunbath particularly during the winter. Apart from the sandy beaches, Kovalam is also famous for the Ayurvedic massage and there are so many Ayurvedic resorts in the area providing the best Ayurvedic treatments in the country.

Arrive Kovalam and check- into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beach etc. 
Overnight in Kovalam.

Day 07: Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beach or free for independent activities.

OPTION 2: Walk through fishermen village. 
OPTION 3: Yoga & Meditation- on direct payment. 
OPTION 4: Half day city tour of Trivendrum (on extra payment).

Thiruvananthapuram
 (formerly, Trivandrum), the capital of the southernmost Indian state of Kerala, lies on the southwest coast of India. The city derives its name from Thiru Anantha Puram, which means the town of Anantha. Anantha is the main deity at the Sree Anantha Padmanabhaswami Temple, a major landmark of the city believed to be several thousand years old. It came into being in 18th century, when Travancore state shifted their capital from Padmanabhapuram to Thiruvananthapuram. After India’s independence, the city was made the capital of Kerala. The city’s proximity to the sea gives it a pleasant climate throughout the year.

Major attraction of the city are Padmabha Swamy Temple, Kuthiramalika Palace Museum and the Napier Museum.

Day 08: Kovalam
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the beach or free for independent activities.

OPTION 2: Full day excursion to Kanyakumari (100kms & 2.5hrs drive one way)- on extra payment.

Kanyakumari 
is a small town, located on the confluence of three oceans - the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Kanyakumari is the southernmost tip of the India. The name of Kanyakumari is derived from two Hindi words 'Kanya' and 'Kumari' which means 'virgin girl'. It's because that the place is named after the beautiful princess Kanya Devi, one of the many forms of goddess Parvathi, the consort of Lord Shiva. The town houses several beautiful temples including Kumari Amman Temple (also known as Kanyakumari Temple) dedicated to goddess Parvathi. Other attractions include Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the 6th century Fort of Vattakottai or the Circular Fort and Gandhi Mandapam etc.
Overnight in Kovalam.

Day 09: Kovalam/ Trivandrum/ Fly back home
