Manali Ladakh Tour

Destinations : Delhi-Manali-Sarchu-Leh-Pangong Lake-Nubra Valley-Delhi

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by flight in the evening.

Delhi is the capital of India- the largest democratic and 2nd most populous country in the world and the city has seen its rise and fall several times. New Delhi is the 8th city built by British. Delhi is famous for its beautiful monuments built by different emperors, which can be seen during the city tour.

You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel. 
After check- in formality, you will check in to the room.
Overnight in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for full day city tour of Old Delhi (in the morning) & New Delhi (in the afternoon).

The city of Delhi can be divided into two parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi.

Old Delhi was earlier ruled by Muslim Sultans for about 700years and later, it became the capital of the Mughal Empire between 17th & 19th centuries. Whereas New Delhi is an imperial and modern city, built by British, when they decided to move their capital from Calcutta in 1911.

The sightseeing of Old Delhi includes a visit to Jama Masjid- India's largest mosque, Red Fort- constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, Rajghat- cremation site of father of Nation- Mahatma Gandhi and finally enjoy the rickshaw ride through the old streets of Chandni Chawk, the busiest market of Old Delhi.

Sightseeing of New Delhi includes a visit to India Gate- built in memory of Indian soldiers killed during the First World War. Rashtrapati Bhawan (from outside)- built in the early 20th century as the Imperial residence of the Viceroy, today the official residence of the President of India. Parliament House- an unique circular building with huge colonnades, which houses the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament. Humayun's Tomb- is the first Mughal garden tomb, which looks like the famous Taj Mahal and finally Qutab Minar- one of Delhi’s most striking monuments, which is the world's tallest brick minaret with a height of 72.5 meters.

Day 03: Delhi/ Manali (585Kms & 14hrs drive)- Overnight Volvo Bus
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit Akshardham Temple.

Akshardham Temple is a magnificent Hindu temple and biggest in Asia, situated in the east region of New Delhi. Located on the banks of River Yamuna, it was inaugurated in November 2005, by the former President of India- APJ Abdul Kalam, the Prime Minister- Manmohan Singh and Pramukh Swami Maharaj- the spiritual leader of BAPS. Pramukh Swami Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Swaminarayan Sansthan, BAPS. Swaminarayan Akshardham was constructed under his guidance, after his guru, Yogiji Maharaj, expressed a wish for the same.

In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Bus station to board Overnight Volvo Bus to Manali.

It is a luxury and convenient 2 x 2 bus with sufficient leg space and luggage rack. There will be heater and you will be provided Blankets. It will be a comfortable journey and you will feel comfortable.  
Overnight on board.

Day 04: Arrive Manali
Arrive Manali at around 7am. 

Manali is a beautiful hill station situated at a height of 2050Mtr from the sea level in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The landscape is really beautiful and breathtaking. It’s a beautiful hill drive and you can have a majestic view of snowcapped Himalayan  peaks and the Beas River with its clear water running through this beautiful hill station. The city is abundant with deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent holiday destination and also known as the “Queen of Hill Stations”.

You will be well received on your arrival at Manali Bus station and transfer to hotel.

Arrive hotel and check in to your room.

Breakfast at hotel and rest of the morning at leisure.

In the later afternoon, proceed for city tour of Manali, visiting Hadimba temple- dedicated to goddess Hadimba- wife of the Pandava brothers Bhim of Mahabharat. Vashist hot water spring & temple- 3Kms from town, a small village located on the left bank of river Beas, which is renowned for its hot springs and temples. Tibetan colorful monasteries, where visitors can buy Tibetan handicrafts. Two are located in the 

In the evening walk around Mall Road, the main market in Manali, which gets crowded in the evenings.
Overnight in Manali.

Day 05: Manali/ Sarchu (280Kms & 7-8hrs drive)
After breakfast at hotel, start your journey towards Leh, stopping at Sarchu for a night after crossing Rohtang Pass (3979Mtr), which is 51Kms from Manali and the highest point in Manali on Keylong- Leh Road. One can have an excellent view of the majesty mountains and the glaciers from here. You can have some rest here to enjoy this snowy heaven. You can even participate in snowbound activities (on direct payment).

Continue drive towards Sarchu via Keylong and Baralacha Pass, which is a beautiful drive.

Sarchu is situated at the border of hill state Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Arrive Sarchu and check in to your tents.
Overnight in Sarchu.

Day 06: Sarchu/ Leh (280Kms & 7-8hrs drive)
After breakfast in the tent, drive towards Leh, through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass.

Drive continue towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (the biggest and highest plateau on earth on stretch of 42Kms), Tanglang La Pass and Indus Valley.

Ladakh is a Land of Passes and the Roof of the World and Leh is the capital of Ladakh in the north most Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Beautiful monasteries, colorful market and enchanting view of the Himalayas make Leh an incredible destination. Leh is the gateway to Ladakh, from where your adventure in Ladakh begins. Explore a Gompa, camping around Ladakh, trekking through breathtaking routes, where the earth seems nearer to the sky and see rare mountain goats ascending the slopes and cranes flying overhead. This is a tour that will amaze you with its enchanting beauty and delight you with the hospitality of of the Ladakhi people.

Arrive Leh and check into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize yourself. 
Overnight in Leh.

Day 07: Leh/ Pangong Lake (160Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After an early breakfast at hotel, drive towards Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (5486mtrs or 17500ft), which is the third highest motorable pass in the world.

One of the most beautiful lakes in Ladakh, Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,000feet (4,267mtrs) above the sea level and bisected by the international border between India and China. This high altitude lake approximately 130Kms long and 6Kms wide. The lake can be visited in single day from Leh but one can stay overnight to see the sunset and sunrise, which is another experience of lifetime. The beautiful Lake was featured in the last scene of the Super Hit Bollywood Hindi movie “3 Idiots” in the year 2010. After the success of the movie, this beautiful lake has become an important destination in Ladakh for the tourists from all over the globe.

Arrive Pangong and check into your tent.

In the afternoon, enjoy the picturesque lake and its spectacular views of changing its colors..it is really amazing!!
Overnight in Pangong.

Day 08: Pangong Lake/ Leh (160Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at the camp, enjoy the magnificent view of sunrise and changing the color of Pangong Lake…it is really breathtaking.

Later, drive back to Leh.

Arrive Leh and check into your hotel.

Rest of the afternoon free at leisure or walk around local market. 
Overnight in Leh.

Day 09: Leh/ Nubra Valley (140Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After your breakfast at hotel, drive towards Nubra valley over Khardung La Pass- the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380ft.

Nubra Valley is popularly known as “the valley of flowers”. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. 
Drive Khardung La pass, you enter into Shyok Valley and enjoy the beautiful scenery is all around. After crossing Khalsar Bridge at Shyok River, you enter to Nubra Valley & then drive along the Nubra River to reach Tegar.

Arrive Nubra and check into your tent.

In the afternoon, proceed to visit Disket Monastery and otehr small monasteries.
Deskit is a headquarter of Nubra Valley, which is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery situated on a hilltop.
Overnight in Nubra.

Day 10: Nubra Valley/ Leh (140Kms & 5-6hrs drive)
After breakfast at the camp, drive towards Leh.
On the way, you can visit the Sand Dunes at Hunder, where you can see Double Humped, Hairy and Bactrian Camels. You can enjoy camel ride (on direct payment).

Continue drive towards Leh over Khardung La Pass. 
Arrive Leh in the late and check into your hotel.
Rest of the afternoon free at leisure or walk around local market. 
Overnight in Leh.

Day 11: Leh/ Delhi- Fly & Delhi/ Fly Back Home
After early breakfast at hotel, you will transferred to airport to board your flight to Delhi. 

You will be well received on your arrival at the Delhi airport and transfer to hotel (near airport).
Arrive Hotel and check into your hotel, where a room will be booked for DAY USE.
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the morning at leisure.

Later, you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board your flight back home with sweet memories of your Ladakh Trip with Dependable Travel Solutions India!!.
